I’ve talked several times lately about the plan I know God has for me. He has a plan to give me an abundant life. A plan to give me success, not failure. A plan to take care of me even better than He takes care of the birds and the flowers. All of these promises are Biblical and I know that God cannot lie. If He told me He has a plan, I choose to believe.
These promises apply to all aspects of my life. They apply to my spiritual journey, my health, my family life, my relationship with friends, the church…everything. I think God has a plan for everything and when I chose to become a follower of Jesus, God gave me a Helper. A Comforter. He gave me a gift…His Holy Spirit. And with his Spirit, I am more powerful than I could dream of being on my own.
When I am tired, He will give me strength. When I am discouraged, He will lift up my spirits. When I am confused, He will provide me with knowledge and wisdom. When I feel like “I can’t”, He will be there to be show me that I can. He promises me that IF I just trust Him and do things His way, He will get me to where He wants me to be. He doesn't promise it will be easy, but He promises it will be worth it.
THAT is true joy, freedom, and peace. Knowing that HE’s got it covered if I just trust and obey.
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
“Then Jesus said, “Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you. Let me teach you, because I am humble and gentle at heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy to bear, and the burden I give you is light.” Matthew 11:28-30
“Because He loves me,” says the LORD, “I will rescue him; I will protect him, for He acknowledges my name. He will call upon me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him.” Psalm 91:14-15
