Today I just need to force myself into motddddddddddddddddddddddddddd…uh, that should’ve said “motion.” And yes - I am being totally honest when I tell you that I just dozed off and held down those letters on accident. I told you…I am a mess today.
Maybe it’s hormonal or maybe I’m not getting quality sleep? Or maybe it’s mental. I am in a Biggest Loser group and our first weigh in is tonight. I’m pretty sure that best case scenario I am going to break even this week due to one too many Mother’s Day treats. Regardless of the reason, sometimes you just have to push through and make yourself do the things you don’t want to. I am going to finish my laundry, pack up the kids and head out to take a walk.
In the stock market, each stock has a 52 week range that is listed on financial websites. This stat shows investors the lowest price and the highest price for the past 52 weeks for that particular stock. As a stock approaches it’s ceiling (the high point for the year), it almost always slows down or goes back down. But once (and if) it happens to break that 52 week high, it usually causes a snowball effect and it picks up and continues going up at a higher rate of speed, setting a new standard or trend.
The same holds true with us. Feeling sluggish and unmotivated all of a sudden? Feel like giving up and saying that it’s not working yet? Feel like you should throw in the towel and start something new? Not seeing any progress? Don’t give up yet. Maybe you are just approaching your ceiling. Go ahead and force yourself to go through it. Push yourself harder today than you think you can and see how you feel. It might just be that you need that little boost to get you past that imaginary wall that’s holding you back.
