Stuff Your Faith is a weight loss blog. Kind of.
My name is Rhonda. I am 40 years old. I started writing several years ago in an attempt to document what I thought then was going to be a simple weight loss journey. What I didn't know was that despite my sometimes full on, sometimes half-hearted weight loss attempts, the scale was about to move over 100 pounds - just in the wrong direction. After years of trying and failing, I made the decision to have weight loss surgery.
Through this blog I've been able to chronicle my own personal thoughts and struggles that followed me through periods of motivation, indifference, defeat, and finally back to hope.
And while the underlying theme has always been my weight issues, I've discovered that physical weight, emotional weight, and spiritual weight are all things that, if not addressed honestly, can be too heavy to bear. So whether I'm talking about my past, my future, my faith, or what happened to me in the school pickup line, my goal is to just be honest and real with the hope that someone can read my thoughts and realize that they aren't alone in their own journey.
